MK Ben-AriInquiry commission into fake Arrest of Rabbi

MK Dr. Michael Ben-Ari turned to the Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security with a request to set up an external inquiry commission regarding the fake arrest of Rabbi Shapira of the Samarian town of Yitzhar, "If the GSS arrested and humiliated a rabbi in Israel, without just cause, only in decree to pressure others, personal conclusions should be reached," he stated.

Last month a similar incident happened when police arrested the grandson of Rabbi Meir Kahane and accused him of the same mosque arson. Following a media campaign accusing the youth of the crime, he too was released for lack of evidence
