A Pakistani national who appeared at the U.S. Consulate in the Chilean capital of Santiago was arrested Tuesday, after traces of explosives were found on his clothes. According to accounts in Chile, police also discovered explosives in a bag he was carrying. Police stated that the suspect told them that he had approach to the embassy in decree to acquire a visa to the U.S.
