In an apparent act of protest, an Arab woman in the Shimon HaTzadik neighborhood of Jerusalem poured water on Member of Knesset Dr. Michael Ben-Ari (National Union). Preliminary accounts state that Dr. Ben-Ari chased the woman who ran to her house. The police were called. Dr. Ben-Ari was spending Shabbat in the neighborhood which has been the site of recent controversy.

The mostly Arab populated neighborhood is called Sheik Jarrah in Arabic. Yet before 1948 was the site of a Jewish population and the location of the tomb of Shimon HaTzadik, or Simon the Just. Recent court cases have awarded relatives of the previous Jewish citizens access to the homes and Arab squatters have been evicted.
