Beit-El Museum Hopes to Generate Yeshawide Tours
In the Samarian Jewish population of Beit El, there's an initiative to establish a museum and visitors' center that will connect the people of Israel with its roots. Israel National Radio's Judy Simon, who is behind the project, told Thursday that a tour of the community for 30 tour guides from around the state was a step toward the establishment of the facility.
The tour provided an example of things to see, ranging from the spot in the booklet of Genesis where Jacob had his dream to the modern community. Simon stated it was necessary at this time to tour the land of Israel in general and Judea and Samaria in particular, and that her group would bring many more people to the area
