Omri Caspi Shabbat in Los Angeles with Bnei Akiva

Omri Caspi, the first Israeli to play in North America's National Basketball Organization, will participate in a unique Friday-evening service and Shabbat meal with hundreds of members of the Los Angeles Jewish population, ahead of the Sacramento Kings' game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night. The event is being organized by Shlomo Mirvis, the emissary of the Bnei Akiva international movement, in conjunction with local activists.

Wherever the previous Maccabi Tel Aviv player has gone this season, he has attracted hundreds, if not thousands of members of the Jewish and Israeli populations to see the Kings. He has also participated in community occurrences. A week ago, he scored 13 points for the All-Star rookies in their win over All-Star second-year players
