Jewish Office Chairman Natan Sharansky believes the agency's primary goal should be the strengthening of Jewish identity worldwide. The agency should work with diaspora populations as well as reaching out to Israeli youth, he stated Sunday.

Sharansky outlined his vision at the annual Jewish Agency Board of Governors meeting in Jerusalem. He used the successes of the Birthright (Taglit in Hebrew) and Masa programs, which bring foreign students to Israel, as examples to be followed.Read the Complete tale
