Taliban Denies Arrest Report


The Taliban denied on Tuesday top army commander Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar had been captured in Pakistan by Pakistani and US intelligence forces, according to Reuters.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid stated Baradar was still in Afghanistan, actively organizing the group's military and political activities. He added, "They want to spread this rumor just to divert the attention of people from their defeats in Marjah and confuse the public.
