Water Saving Faucet Law Passes

The Knesset passed on its second and third reading Tuesday a law that will require installation of water-saving showerheads and faucets in all public institutions in Israel. The law was proposed by Mks Yochanan Plesner, Dov Hanin, Ofir Akunis, and Nitzan Horowitz. The bill passed with no objections.

Sites where the water saving devices will be installed will include government buildings and offices, army bases, police stations, health funds (Kupot Holim), schools, universities, and Jewish Office and World Zionist Federation buildings. Institutions have until September 1 to comply with the fresh law.
