Earthquake Drill on Thursday


The Homefront Decree, in conjunction with the Education and Welfare ministries, emergency services and local authorities, will hold an emergency drill, including a simulated earthquake, on Thursday morning among10 and noon in schools and dozens of welfare institutions throughout the state. Students will be drilled in taking cover underneath desks and tables, as well as exiting the classroom and going to a secure assembly area.

The exercise is one in a series of drills to prepare for all sorts of emergency situations.
