Hareidi Demonstrations Close Mea Shearim Neighborhood

Hareidi-religious demonstrators set two dumpsters on fire Monday evening on Yechezkel (Ezekiel) Street in the Mea She'arim neighborhood of Jerusalem. The neighborhood has been closed to traffic and police are on hand to guard against the spread of the disturbances.
The population is mad over last week's arrest and detention of a yeshiva student accused of spraying graffiti against renovation work at the grave of Rabbi Shimon Bar-Yochai at Mt. Meron in the Galilee
