Ministers to Discuss Freeze Compensation plot
The Ministerial Legislative Commission will determine Sunday on whether or not to support a law that would aid compensate victims of the government's building freeze in Judea and Samaria. Several minister have already asserted their public support for the law proposed by MKs Uri Ariel (National Union), Danny Danon (Likud), Otniel Schneller (Kadima), Uri Orbach (Bayit Yehudi), Fania Kirschenbaum (Yisrael Beiteinu), and Avraham Michaeli and Nissim Ze'ev, both of Shas. The law would establish a joint committee with representatives of the Defense Ministry, the Treasury, the Justice Ministry, and the Prime Minister's office, which will determine the level of assistance and compensation due to those who have been economically or otherwise damage by the building freeze. "This law is designed to force the government to supply victims of the freeze with the help they are legally entitled to," MK Ariel stated.
