Umbrella Group Starts for Religious Zionism
Religious Zionist Enterprise, an umbrella group for religious-Zionist organizations, was launched Sunday at the Bnei Akiva Yeshivas Center in Ramot Shapira. About 50 heads of religious-Zionist organizations and institutions took portion in the organization's founding meeting. Tzvi Zwiebel, who was named to lead the group, stated there are about 400 organizations and institutions in the movement.
Yanki Freedman of the Noam and Tzvia educational chains said the group will act as a lobby and give public support - and if need be - legal, economic and informational support to its members. It will also distribute as a platform for inter-organizational cooperation. A team was chosen to officially develop the group's goals and propose projects and initiatives for the future. It was agreed that the group would mobilize for the needy at Pesach, prepare for public issues and recruit more organizations
