Activists Must Pay for Questioning Suitability of AG
The Supreme Court rejected on Monday a petition by the Organization for the Land of Israel against the appointment of Attorney Yehuda Weinstein as the fresh Attorney General.
The judges ruled that in spite of the fact that Weinstein had privately represented senior politicians including Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, this did not represent a conflict of interest with his new position. The court further obligated the petitioners to pay court costs amounting to tens of thousands of shekels
