Gilad Farm IDF Continues to Abuse Us

Citizens of the Samarian Jewish outpost population of Havat Gilad (Gilad Farm) who went to harvest their wheat Tuesday morning were arrested by Border Police officers for violating a "closed army zone" order issued by Shomron Brigade commander Itzik Barr on the fields. According to the residents, Barr stated the fields are on property stated by Arabs.
The residents claimed otherwise, adding that the military should be allocating its resources to fighting terror and not dealing in property disputes, which are the domain of the courts. One resident told 's Hebrew service, "Residents of the farm worked on the wheat all year, and when they came this morning to harvest it, they were arrested. Overnight, territory within the confines of the farm is forbidden for Jews to enter. If they were Arabs, the army would watch over them and aid them with the harvest. The intent here is to bother us; it's a continuation of abuse following the arrest of resident [and farm owner -ed.] Itai Zar."
