Prof. Kanovskys Funeral 8 PM in Jerusalem


The funeral of Prof. Eliyahu Kanovsky will be held at 8 p.m. at the Har HaMenuchot "Jerusalem Congregation" eulogy hall. He passed away Monday morning after a long illness.

Prof. Kanovsky was a Senior Research Associate at the BESA Center for Strategic Studies, Professor in the Department of Economics, Bar-Ilan University, and Ludwig Jesselson Visiting Professor of Economics at Yeshiva University. He appeared before a hearing of the Joint Economic Commission (JEC) of the US Congress on October 21, 1997, where he presented a summary of his policy paper, entitled: Arab-Israel Peace Agreements Since Camp David: A gaze Backward and a Look Ahead.

His writings include: Has the Peace Process Reaped Economic Dividends?, Syria's Troubled Economic Future, The Woeful Say of Saudi Finances, and Netanyahu's Economic Record.

Prof. Kanovsky is survived by his wife Tamar (Temmie) and five children, including journalist Chanie Luz, head of the Tadmit media watchdog organization
