Removal of Italian Hitler Billboards Sought
An Italian partisan group called Monday for the removal of billboard advertisements by a clothing firm which uses the image of Nazi leader Adolph Hitler. Ottavio Terranova, who heads the ANPI group, stated the posters were a serious offense against all those who combated fascism and "violate our democratic and constitutional principles." Citizens noted to Italian president Giorgio Napolitano to complain.
Above a picture of the Nazi dictator is the caption, "Alter Your Style. Don't Follow Your Leader." The head of the ad office behind the campaign told Italian media that it intended to ridicule Hitler.
