"The Promised Land", a movie about the Lechi (Lochamei Cherut Yisrael - Israel Freedom Fighters) underground's campaign against British occupation in the Land of Israel throughout the British Mandate, will star British actor Colin Firth as Lehi founder, leader, and martyr Avraham "Yair" Stern, who gave the militia the name the "Stern Gang".
The movie will be directed by British director Michael Winterbottom, and premier in 2011.
