The leftwing Haaretz newspaper has printed an editorial supporting the Friday demonstrations at the Arab town of Bil'in which often turn violent. Accrediting to the paper the demonstrations are “legitimate” and the IDF should allow their existence. Dozens of soldiers have been insured by Arab and anarchist demonstrators who throw rocks at IDF forces and have attempted to physically dismantle the security barrier at the site.
