The Israeli Consulate in Madrid has sharply protested two sculptures presented by the Spanish sculptor Eugenio Merino at an international art display in Spain this week. One of the sculptures displays an Uzi submachine gun with with a menorah coming out of its barrel, along with a Star of david.

"The values of freedom of speech and creativity sometimes act as a mask for stereotypes and provocation, for the sake of provocation," the Embassy stated.
