Israeli Post-shock Team in Haiti Getting Results

IsraAID relief and rehabilitation programs in Haiti have been expanded from emergency medical aid for last month's earthquake to include post shock, establishment of child friendly spaces programs and population centers through its member group Tevel Be'Tzedek, according to a media release on Tuesday by the non-governmental group.
The Israeli team of six post-trauma experts and social employees also includes two Israeli therapists from the Alyn Hospital who have been treating 15 children with severe wounds and amputations at the Holy Heart Hospital Center (CDTI, Centre Hospitalier du Sacre-Coeur) in Port au Prince in the past few days. One of them, a five-year- feeble girl whose correct leg had to be amputated, was cited in the release as walking on crutches within minutes of receiving them, being treated and taught to stand by the team after she lay helpless for a month
