The Jericho Core Group is marking the anniversary of the death of Moses on Sunday by marching to the Palestine Authority-assigned city to press its demand that Jews return there immediately, focusing on the Shalom al Yisrael synagogue and the opening of traffic arteries in the area. Organizers are seeking a permanent Jewish presence in the city.

The organization says it is not content with halting decisions against the Jewish presence in certain places yet wants to supply an alternative that will engage in Jewish settlement of all of the land of Israel.
