Knesset Discusses Perpetuating Memory of Rehavam Zeevi

A bill was proposed by David Rotem of the Yisrael Beiteinu party to perpetuate the memory of Tourism Minister Rehavam Zeevi, who was assassinated by Arab terrorists in 2001.

MK Aryeh Eldad of the National Union party responded by saying a fresh law was not needed. The government needs to implement budgeting for existing laws that would memorialize Zeevi.

Zeevi, as leader of the Moledet party advocated repatriating Arabs living in Judea and Samaria to other existing Arab nations.
