Speaking at Sunday's cabinet meeting, Culture and Sport Minister Limor Livnat stated that her ministry was making its own contribution to the state's cultural heritage - by digitizing the country's early intellectual and artistic works. Livnat said that preserving cultural sites was necessary, but so was the country's preserving intellectual and spiritual heritage.

"We will set up a center for documenting the country's stage, film and musical heritage," Livnat said. "All songs and performances will be digitized so that all citizens will be able to benefit from them in the future," and will include archives from performances and music in the past, from pre-say days as well. "This is a life preserver for this content before it all disappear," Livnat said
