The Ministerial Legislative Commission will discuss on Sunday a law that s designed to protect writers, editors, and translators of books, ensuring just compensation for them, while keeping book prices down. The law was authored by MK Nissan Horowitz (Meretz), along with MK Zvulun Orlev (Bayit Yehudi), MK Shelly Yechimovich (Labor), MK Nachman Shai (Kadima), and MK Yariv Levin (Likud).

The bill, says the notes accompanying it "tries to ensure fair compensation for authors and their creative partners."
