International computer processor developer Intel continued its strong relationship with Israel in 2009, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor stated Sunday. Throughout 2009, the Ministry said, Intel use up $392 million in services and products, founded on an agreement the firm has with the government. Altogether, Intel's contribution to the Israeli economy was some $3.5 billion, the Ministry said.

In 2006, Intel received a $524 million grant from the government, in exchange for which the company promised to purchase goods and services from Israeli companies worth at least $810 million, among2006 and 2016. Since 2006, the Ministry said, Intel has made purchases from over 300 Israeli companies.
