The Justice Ministry's Legal Defense office filed a petition with the High Court Tuesday against the Immigration Authority's practice of holding illegal immigrants who are minors in prisons meant for adults. The petition was filed against the Authority and the Welfare Ministry on behalf of 24 youths and children being held in Givon Prison. The petition demands that the plaintiffs be held in a facility other than a prison while the Authority decides what to execute with them.
