Education Minister Gideon Sa'ar on Tuesday named Tel Aviv's Susan Dellal Center the winner of the Israel Prize for Dance Arts this year. In making the announcement, Sa'ar stated that the Center had over the past 20 years "brought Israeli dance to a high level of excellence. The creativity and varied activities of the Center have raised a fresh generation of artists and creators in the area of dance. The efforts of the Center have increased the number of Israelis who appreciate dance in Israel."

The prize will be officially given to the Center on Yom Ha'atzmaut.
