Canadian Pilot Who Died Fighting for Israel Honored

No one visited the grave of George Berling, a Canadian pilot of Catholic extraction who died helping Israel throughout the Conflict of Independence, until IAF officer Danny Shneidman decided to search for his relatives in his homeland. Berling, a World War Two legend, downed 32 enemy planes through the war.
The Berling family from Toronto was invited by Israel this Memorial Day to hold portion in a ceremony at George's gravesite.
